After working for many years as a pen for hire, Jim has turned the page and now writes fiction. While writing short stories and collaborating on a novel, Jim writes to discover characters in real situations who are changed by events and interactions. He is also writing a biography of a person very much alive.
With artist Rosemary Miguez, Jim lives in their cottage-house in the Village of Dunnottar bordering Lake Winnipeg and occasionally in their city-cottage in Winnipeg. As real Canadian snowbirds, they go south and stay in Canada, spending winters in Toronto where he takes part in the Toronto Writers Co-op.
